2023 Summer School Term3(7/31~8/4)

Hello everyone!  This is Andy reporting on Week 3 of Summer School!  

In this week of Summer School, all the students learned about the fascinating and beautiful wonders of the sea!  We explored the different depths of the sea and found out where some ocean animals live!  There are so many things to find and discover in our vast oceans around the world! 

Along with learning about the sea, we also discussed the importance of taking care of the sea.  We learned about how to always keep our oceans clean by NOT littering.  Keeping the ocean clean is a goal we want to always achieve!

For this week’s reading, the students read about the open ocean, rays, and crabs!  We had the chance to review the different sea animals that live in the open ocean!  From the enormous blue whale to the tiny plankton swimming about looking for food to eat.  We read about how rays lay hidden on the sandy seabed while others swim near the top of the ocean.  We even read about how crabs can be as small as a pea or as big as a dinner plate!  There were so many interesting things to learn about!

This week’s field trip to Sea Paradise was a great way to see so many Sea animals! We had the chance to see an amazing dolphin show, an aquarium filled with beautiful sea animals, and even some land animals!  It was an informative and fun experience! 

In conclusion, we had a fun packed week learning about the ocean and sea animals!  We learned through exploring the sea, making crafts, reading, and so much more!
The ocean is truly a fascinating place full of wonder and beauty.  Let’s take care of our oceans!
