報告してくれるのは Ms. Monica!
Hello! This is Ms. Monica reporting in from the first week of summer school.
In week 1 of Summer School, the whole class has been exploring topics related to water. In my class, we’ve been learning about the water cycle and how it makes life on our planet possible.
There were some big words to learn: evaporation, condensation, precipitation! We enjoyed learning how to talk like scientists.
Of course we enjoyed reading about the water cycle in our class book, but we also got to see the water cycle in action. We made terrariums with plastic bottles, soil, and plants from the Cosmos garden. Inside these sealed little worlds, we could see water condensing into water droplets, falling down to the soil and becoming groundwater, and then evaporating up into grey, fuzzy clouds.
We also enjoyed a trip to the beach in Kotsubo — the class found so many shells!
In short, it was a fun and learning-filled week all about one of our world’s most important and fascinating resources: water!
