Week 4 – Africa and Safari “Go to a land of Amazing Adventures !”

Hello everyone! This is Andy reporting on Summer School Week 4.
For this week of Summer school, the students had the chance to explore the vast and marvelous African Savanna! We learned about the stunning animals that roam free and how they’re all amazingly unique in their natural setting. The students were engaged with activities and craft to explore the diverse culture and habitat of this beautiful region of Africa. Older students focused more on the cultural aspect, while the younger students focused more on the habitat and animals of the African Savanna.

Our field trip to Zoorasia was a great opportunity to see so many amazing animals! The Students had the chance to explore the African Savanna area of Zooraisa. We were able to get a glimpse of zebras, giraffes, meerkats, a rhinoceros, an African wild dog, a cheetah, and a lion! It was a fun and thrilling way to see these beautiful animals with our own eyes.

To stay cool on these hot summer days, younger students had refreshing water play and ended their day with some yummy shave ice! The upperclass students had the opportunity to go swimming at the public pool, also finishing their day with some delicious shave ice.

In conclusion, our days were filled by learning through crafts, activities, readings, and so much more! It was an exciting and educational week exploring the wondrous place we call the African Savanna!
